We start by picking you up from the airport in Puerto Maldonado to transfer you to the locals basic housing on the Km 80 ,Road to Brazil on the Santa Rosa Community -- about 1 ½ hours car ride. There you will meet the local Mitayero (Hunter) Family that will host you for four nights. Arriving with a travel assistant to basically translate everything for you and facilitate the relationship with the family.
The first night will go on a night hunting experience for an Agouti Paca an Amazonian rodent that feeds on Brazil nuts for about two hours.
We will have breakfast on a local cuisine style and tour around the closer farms to picture their living ways for about 1 ½ hours.
In the afternoon we will go to look for some wild life or learn about locals usages on their daily living.
At dusk we prepare our staff to go hunting again probably an armadillo or other fauna preys.
Early wake up to look for fauna spotting for about an hour and then returning to the house for breakfast.
At ten we go to recognize some hunting spots for our night hunting for about two hours with the possibility of go swimming on a creek close to the local’s house.
At night at around nine we head for our last hunting night.
Transfer to Puerto Maldonado to a City Hotel.
In the afternoon City Tour and additional activities on request.
